Travel

Travel is a huge part of how I see myself and how I judge my relationship to the world. There is no better way to make the world seem smaller and to understand what makes it work (or not work) than by going to a place and seeing for yourself. From that gateway drug of Anthony Bourdain to life as an expat in Korea, I have made it my life’s goal to have as many meaningful travel experiences as I can. There is no replacement for firsthand experience but the travel essay is a pretty good stand-in. With a background in print journalism and a love for street photography, I have been passionate about publishing travel writing for most of my career. Below you can find a digital tearsheet of select published travel writing and travel photography.
